Magnus Thyberg, Director General the TLV. Approximately 160 people work at the office and within the agency we have two Boards with decision-making powers: the Board for Pharmaceutical Benefits, and the Board for Dental Benefits.

The Board for Pharmaceutical Benefits rules on pricing and reimbursement for new medicines and other
products which are part of the reimbursement system.

The Board for Dental Benefits rules on which dental care shall be reimbursed, how high the benefits level shall be in the high cost threshold as well as on reference prices used for various dental procedures.
