Final report of the government commission to evaluate medical devices for 2015

The aim of TLV’s commission for 2015 has been to develop and increase the effectiveness regarding processes for producing health technology assessments for medical devices. This has been done by adopting the use of different types of health technology assessments and creating process improvements based on the experiences made so far during the government commission.

TLV has produced three HTAs, Thrombectomy for treatment of stroke, Self-monitoring of treatment with warfarin, The Aspire method and a Rapid review of CELDA diagnostic method.

TLV will conduct a legal impact analysis in 2016 to provide a foundation for a long-term and sustainable commission to evaluate medical devices.
